We Can Back Up Your Computer or Laptop’s Data
Data Back-Up From Internal And External Hard Drives: Out technicians back up a lot of data for our customers. Our customers may have a computer or laptop that does not turn on or boot and they need their data. Happens all the time. We would normally take a customer’s hard drive out of their computer or laptop, and attach it to one of our data back up computers, or Macs. We will normally copy their data to our storage, and then put it back on their laptop once it is fixed, or onto an external hard drive. If they purchase a refurbished laptop from us or another store, we can copy their data to that. All for a very affordable price.
Copy Data To External Hard Drive: When we retrieve a customer’s data, for many customers we recommend they purchase an external hard drive for backup purposes. We will copy their data to it, and then they have a backup solution to use in the future. If they had us get data off of a hard drive that usually means they don’t have a good system for their data. The more important a person’s data is, the more methods we recommend they use to back it all up. This includes putting the data onto a network storage device, an external hard drive, another computer, or the cloud. We do not recommend backing up data to usb flash drives because they can get lost, or break easily, and are far more unreliable than good quality external hard drives.
We Can’t Back Up Files From New Macbooks
No Data Back-Up For Newer Macbooks: Macbook made from 2016 and on have hard drives integrated into their logicboards. If the Macbook does not turn on, we cant get their data. In some cases a Macbook may not work properly but we might get lucky and be able to get it to turn on long enough to copy their data from it. If you use a newer Macbook please use iCloud, and one or two external storage solutions.
Bring In Your External Hard Drive: If you decide to have Computer Repair Seattle / Seattle Laptop do a data retrieval on your computer or laptop, bring in your external hard drive for us to copy your data to. This way we will already have something to copy your data to, and save you a trip back to bring in your hard drive. If you do not have an external hard drive we have both new, and refurbished hard drives you can put your data on.
Protect All Of Your Data
If Your Data Is Important Protect It: It is not that difficult to protect your data. We recommend copying your important data to multiple hard drives so if something bad happens, you can always find a copy. Be sure to label the date, and what data is being copied so it can be easily found if needed.
Cloud Storage: We recommend every customer get a cloud account to automatically protect their data. If something bad happens to your hard drive, laptop, Macbook, or computer, you have a copy of all of your files in the cloud. You can get your machine fixed, or purchase another machine, log in, and download your files to your new computer.
