Motherboard Repair: Sometimes when a power jack is broken it can short out the motherboard. This can cause component damage. When a power jack is installed, and the motherboard begins to get power the laptop may not work, because other things like fuses, filters, and more could have been damaged. In most cases once we get the power jack working we can trace down the motherboard problem, and repair the other parts too. We always want tot test a customer’s battery when we do a power jack repair. Remember, if your battery stays at zero charge for any length of time it will go bad. Once a laptop stops charging, it makes sense to get the charging problem fixed.
